A few days ago we reported that Lenovo had plans to launch a 10.1” NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core tablet (dubbed the Lenovo LePad K2) and its specifications were a bit of a mystery back then, but thanks to a recent benchmark test that Lenovo conducted on GL Benchmarks, more details surrounding the device has surfaced.
We know that the tablet will feature NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor, and with its quad-core ARM based processor and improved graphics core, the Tegra-3 processor proved to be 2.6 times faster than NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor. However oddly enough it seemed to lag behind on Apple’s iPad 2. Could Apple’s A5 processor with the PowerVR SGX GPU 543MP2 be more powerful than NVIDIA’s Tegra 3, or is there something that we’re missing here?
If you’d like to interpret these benchmark results for yourself, head on down to GL Benchmarks website where details of the benchmark can be found in greater detail.
